F is for Friends

I have so so much to blog about. SO MUCH. This past week was one of the best yet one of the worst weeks of my life. I had to move out of Heritage Halls and say goodbye to 180 of my best friends in the 51st ward :( I really underestimated how hard it would be to say goodbye and even more than that I underestimated how much I would miss those wonderful people....and it's only been a few days!! GAH. I will write a blog post later about some of the great people I met in my ward this year and all that I've been up to these past couple weeks, but this post needs to be dedicated specifically to 5 of my favorite people. That's right. P80, everyone.

WARNING: This blog post may be a teeeny bit sappy.

Well friends, my freshman year is over. How happy am I that this school year ended? Hmm...on a scale of one to ten I would say negative 7 million. I DIDN'T WANT THIS YEAR TO END! At all. Sure I can live without Physical Science....but other than that, I don't know how I'm going to live without everything else that I have come to love this year. Especially people. Let me tell you all about the wonderful people I lived with this year and how they have come to be my very best friends.

THESE GIRLS. GAH. I have cried WAY too many tears over these past few days over leaving them. I can't handle these goodbyes. I lucked out this year. Hard. I could not have handpicked better roommates. They're like sisters to me. We're already planning reunion gatherings since we all won't be living together this next year :( Actually we're planning a reunion for tonight! PARK CITY, BABY! It's about to get crazy. Let me tell a little bit about each one of these wonderful people.

Madison Rose Webber. Or Madison Wose Webbew, as I like to call her. As you can see, we were Thing 1 and Thing 2 for Halloween this year and that describes us perfectly. The Things. I hardly go anywhere without Madi. Sometimes I think we're attached at the hip, and I wouldn't have it any other way. She is one of my best friends now and I feel so lucky to have "reunited" with her this year. (We were randomly paired as roommates after being "pen pals" in middle school. weird.) Anyways, Madi is one of the few people that I feel like I can share anything with and completely be myself around. She always knows just how to make me happy when I'm down and she has such a great outlook on life. She's a great example to me and she is also hilarious...just listen to her talk. Every word kills me. I'm so glad that we will be next door neighbors this spring, but even that is too far! We're planning on getting cans with strings attached so we can talk out of the window. We will probably NEVER get any sleep, but we'll have fun. That's for sure. I LOVE MADI!

April Noelle Joyner. My room-roommate. I was so nervous about coming up to school and living in the same room as a random girl but I'm so glad now that I decided to live with someone I didn't know. April is awesome. She is one of the most driven people I have ever met and I know she is going to do some great things with her life. April just joined the church a few years ago, despite her family's wishes, and is a huge example of faith to me. I'm going to miss sharing a room with her! I feel like our friendship has grown so much over these past 8 months and I am so sad to be leaving her. I walked into my room and cried when I saw that she had moved out and had left me a note that said "Carlie, I love you. Love, Katniss." Yeah. I live with Katniss Everdeen. We have had a lot of fun together this year doing crazy things.... like our regular shadow shows at night on our wall. Don't ask. I LOVE APRIL!

Nadine Kawai. Oh, Nadine, Nadine, Nadine. She is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. I love just talking with her. Nadine is really wise. Super wise. We always get into these deep conversations and I love hearing what she has to say. Nadine has a huge heart and is one of those people that EVERYONE gets along with. Seriously. I have yet to meet someone that doesn't love Nadine and doubt I ever will. You just can't help it! She's so easy to love! I'm so grateful that I've had the chance to live with her and learn from her this year. Nadine is just an all-around great person and has so much going for her. She's smart, spiritual, talented, and beautiful!  Some boy is going to lucky to have her someday. Her and her peanut butter toast.  I LOVE NADINE!

Megan. Megan Adele Bird. I guess I didn't have a picture of just the two of us. If you want to know about Megan you can listen to this song/rap that Tyler and I wrote about her...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LXrx5eMTnw&context=C4df8662ADvjVQa1PpcFMloo1JV3TuCETcrqkQCcbAPvMgowqHaYw=.Megan is great.  So great. She never complains and has such a happy, positive attitude about everything! No but really. Everything. She is probably the closest thing you'll meet to a Disney princess. I try to tell myself that I have what it takes to be a princess but let's be real here...I'm a little too sarcastic and weird. Not Megan though. She's super sweet and "practically perfect in every way." She never talks bad about anyone and always puts other people's needs before her own. She is also really funny...most of the time not on purpose which makes it even better. The homeboys love Megan. She's a little heartbreaker ;) Jokes, Megan. Kind of. I LOVE MEGAN!

This is Rosalyn Carter. Quick story behind the picture. I walked into Rose's room the other day to find her staring at herself in the mirror. I asked what she was doing and she replied, "just watching myself enjoy this Almond Joy in the mirror." I had to join her. Oh, Rose. If someone were to ask me what I want to be when I grow up I would reply, "I want to be just like Rose Carter." Rose is amazing. She's a freaking super genius, a spiritual giant, naturally beautiful, and super domestic ;) Rose is so selfless. We have so much fun doing THE WEIRDEST things together and I love it. Things like making "how to" videos, virtually riding Disneyland rides, people watching, and eating waffles. Lots of waffles. I'm so SO SOOOOOO sad that we're not living together next year. Oh well...there's always Fall of 2013, right? Right? I LOVE ROSE!

These girls. I don't think I can express how much I love them. As I was balling my eyes out while packing up my room my mom said, "Carlie, be grateful that you're crying now because you don't want to leave rather than having cried all year over having a horrible experience." That is so true. I feel so blessed to have lived with these girls. Let's take a little trip down memory lane, shall we? Thank you freshman year for being the best yet! :)

Here come a ton of pictures. You all probably don't want to see all of these and I've posted a bunch of them before but I don't care. I want them here. Enjoy. I LOVE PENROSE 80!
