The Weekend of ALL Weekends.

Ready to hear about the weekend of all weekends? Here it goes.

A big thanks to Madison Webber for the pictures :)

Well I guess technically this isn't all part of the weekend, but on Wednesday the cousins picked me up and we drove out to Centerville to see Daniel open his mission call. It was so fun to see my cousins, aunts and uncles, and Grandma Wray. He's going to Independence, Missouri! The same mission my Grandma went to. I'm so excited for him! This kid and I have grown up together (see picture for proof) and it has been so fun being here at BYU with him. Go Daniel!

Thursday was a big day. THE HUNGER GAMES PREMIER!!!! It started at 7:30ish. All the roommies (minus April who was saving spots in line...that's my girl) went to Cafe Rio to make sure we weren't HUNGRY. Get it? Like Hunger Games? Right. So we met up with April Joy Joy and had lots of fun waiting outside.

We ate...

We flashed this sign at anyone and everyone....

We attempted to take a group nap and have everyone lay on someone else's stomach but it took FOREVER with all the laughing and readjusting....

We pretended to be Katniss Everdeen....

We made new friends with people in line and took P80 pictures....

THEN, they let us in the theater. We got the perfect seats (according to the film experts). 3rd row from the top in the middle. Wassup. We took naps, explored, and played "Marry, Date, or Dump." Hahahahaha

So, THE MOVIE. In the beginning I felt like I was having a seizure of sorts...partly because the camera was kind of all over the place but also because I was so excited. Every character was cast so perfectly. The movie followed the book surprisingly well. I LOVED IT. LOOOOVVVVEEDDD IT. 2 words: CAVE SCENE. Also...PEETA MELLARK. Let's just say Josh Hutcherson is no longer the Firehouse Dog boy, if you know what I mean ;) Haha jokes. Kind of. One more thing...the part where the mutant dogs pop out of the woods? Holy cow. I practically flung myself onto my roommate.Ok, not practically. I did fling myself onto my roommate. That was terrifying. I want to go see it again. and again. and again. and again. and again. and again. and maybe one more time after that. May the odds be ever in your favor. After the movie, the crazy roommates (Madi, Nadine, April, and Bryant) decided to stay out super late and go to IHOP. Rose, Megan, and myself (the wise roommates) decided to go home because we had school stuff the next day and we always put our studies first (my mom reads this blog). Before going to bed though, we reenacted a movie trailer that we saw before the Hunger Games. The new Twilight movie. Rose Carter deserves an Oscar for this. Clearly, Rose would have made a better Bella....and I probably would have made a better deer than the one they used. Just throwin that out there.

On Friday night we had a little basement party with the girls of P81. We ate pancakes, built a fort, watched a movie, and attempted to blow glowing bubbles. I love those girls!

After the party, the Mad Dog and I picked up B-Boy (the newest addition to the P80X clan) and made a little trip to WinCo. That place is open 24 hours and always makes for a fun time when you go late at night when NO ONE else is there. It was Bryant's first time there at the Disneyland of grocery stores. I'm glad we could experience it with him. Pretty big deal.

Saturday, Bryant came over and persuaded all of us (minus Nadine who was working) to go to the Festival of Colors in Spanish Fork. Despite having to park in a foreign country and trek to the temple, it was SO FUN. All the freaks come out at those types of things. Seriously. Crazy people. We didn't even buy any powder to throw...we just pushed ourselves through crowds and people would so kindly shove powder in our faces and pat it into our hair. April even crowd surfed! We danced to the Hare Krishna song, talked in accents the whole time. and jammed to One Direction on the way home.We got CAKED in the powder. It was so fun!! I love these people. Lots.

After attempting to scrub ourselves clean, we had cleaning checks back at P80. Woot. We had planned on having a murder mystery party that night but we were all so exhausted that we just sprawled out in the kitchen and shared fun facts about ourselves. Rapid fire style. True roommate bonding right there.

Sunday was great, as always, when you're in the 51st ward. I am going to be a mess when I have to say goodbye to all these people in a month. I don't want to think about it. That night, the roommies, and even some non-roommies, skyped with my parents. Hahaha I wanted to take them around on my computer to everyone I know! They're characters.

Oh. And Madi discovered that the Chamber of Secrets has been opened.

So you see...my weekend WAS great. Here's to a week of no tests or papers! This weekend should be just as good....

Come listen to a living prophet

Check it out!

Until next time :)

I'm A Survivor.

Followers,

I'M ALIVE. I didn't think I was going to survive this week but I DID. I did it. I did it. I really really did it. 3 midterms later and lots of late nights. Done and done. Thank you, come again.

So..last Friday I got to go HOME to sunny AZ. Friday night I went on  a date with the Big-E. Seriously, BIG E. He keeps getting taller and it needs to stop. We went and saw the Lorax. Yeah..what? IT'S A MUSICAL. Hate on me, haters. I loved it.

Saturday morning, I woke up to a trail of pennies leading from my bed to a special surprise. Oh how  I love holiday traditions in my family :)

Yeah remember that no sugar thing I was doing? Whoops. Took a little break for the weekend.

Saturday night I drove up to Mesa for LIGHT's end of the year show. It was the first performance I had been to where I wasn't part of the group! Being considered "Alumni" was really weird. It was a fun show, and I loved seeing my LIGHT friends there!

We went to Nielson's afterwards.... just like the good ol' high school days. Then I headed over to Lucy's house to see Lucy, Chylie, Karlie, Carson, Matthew, and Clayton...the high school gang.

Sunday morning I got to go to the one and only Grove 1st ward. I got to hold all my favorite babies and even hear the E-man talk in church. He's the greatest.

Then I headed over to another ward to hear Matthew Covarrubias speak before leaving on his mission to Peru! He did a great job and he is going to be a great missionary!

Sunday night I went with my parents to the Mission President's fireside. My parents do it all. Seriously. I LOVE going to missionary meetings with them and getting to hear the testimonies of new converts as well as the full-time missionaries."Arizona Tempe Mission, greatest mission in the WORLD!"Makes me wants to serve a mission reals bad.

That night we watched home videos...one of my favorite things to do. Look at this treasure I found.

Monday was...well..interesting. I'll spare you the details but let's just say it was a process trying to get home (refer to my last post about the frustrations of flying standby). It all worked out though and I made it home just in time for the ward talent show. Oh and I am forever in Madi Webber's debt. She's great.

Then I worked and studied and worked and studied and worked and studied some more. All my hard work paid off this weekend though. It was so great that it deserves a post all too itself! Hunger Games, Basement party, Winco, Festival of Colors, etc. Phew. What a weekend. Details and pictures to come later. I have the best friends in the world!! :)

Today is a beautiful day. I feel so blessed. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I just can't get enough :) Happy Sunday!!

BTA-CONTAGION-STANDBY

Let the TRIPLE DOG BLOG POST commence.

I have three things to talk about...all of which are mentioned in the post title.

First of all: BTA...Otherwise known as Between Two Arms

I'm sure you've all heard of the internet web show Between Two Arms, right? Of course, right.Well yesterday the two hosts, Tyler Crofts and Bryant Boyer, showed up at my apartment!! THE BETWEEN TWO ARMS HOSTS WERE AT MY APARTMENT!! I could hardly believe it. We invited them in and they said they wanted to film some "Behind the Scenes" footage for their show. They both even laid their faces on MY scanner and printed out copies of their faces for us to hang in our apartment. I will never wash my scanner again. They may be celebrities...but they're actually really nice guys! Who knew, right? You heard it here first. They even stuck around to play a few games with us. I was still in shock that they were at my apartment (and needed proof to show the rest of you guys) so I filmed them playing games with us. See for yourself!

So right after we finished playing games, they asked me, Carlie Dalene Hansen, to be on their next episode of Between Two Arms! I mean, I know I'm their show's number one fan and all, but I never thought in a million years that they would ask me to be on an episode!! I. Was. Honored. Nervous, yes. But honored. Here's the episode link below. One of their best, I'd say.

SO. Next portion. CONTAGION.
I went to the doctor today. Rose came with me in case I needed someone to hold my hand. Gracias, Rosa. I would prefer not to give you guys all the details...but let's just say my spider bite has turned into the mother of all spider bites. I'm afraid you guys won't be friends with me anymore if I tell you everything so let's just say...I'm contagious....well...my leg situation is currently contagious and I'm on drugs. I feel a little bit like this. The yellow guys being my roommates...the 5 of them.

Which leads me into my next portion....STANDBY. Ever tried to fly standby on a flight?? DON'T. Here's what happened. I was trying to fly to Arizona...for the safety of you guys. I was trying to flee the state and get away to protect you all from my contagious self. It's like I can run from me, but I can't hide from me. Actually I was going home to be with my family. BUT I was last on the standby list of 13 people. Only 4 of us standby-ers showed up. There were 2 seats left on the plane. The contenders for the seats?
Passenger #1: Me. The Contagious Teenager
Passenger #2: The Kind Old Woman trying get home to do temple work with her family
Passenger #s 3 and 4: The 50 year old women in mini skits and boots and enough bling on their handbags to blind someone wearing sunglasses

Who were the 2 that got on the plane? 3 and 4. I'm a little bitter. I won't repeat on here what I told my family about these kind souls and how I almost went all Hunger Games on them...this is a children friendly blog. I helped cushion the blow of not getting to go home with a nice salad from Costa Vida. Thank goodness for that.

So here I sit. In my apartment that my roommates totally sanitized while I was gone for a few hours. They even gave me my own container of hand sanitizer. I feel so loved....
I may as well sit in a box until this passes.

Tweet the Deets.

Thank you,  followers for being so worried about me...NOT. You all just wanted my stuff. Harumph.

It has been confirmed. I am Spiderwoman. Well...not really, but I could have been. Aubs and Aaron were nice enough to take me to urgent care on Saturday so I could get things checked out. After the nurse so gently (sarcasm) poked over the red (and very tender, I might add) area she told me that it was a bite. Grrreeeaaatt. She told me there was this drug for me to take that would help reduce the swelling and do other stuff....I'll spare you the details ;) Also, I pulled the spiderwoman joke on them....they didn't laugh. Not even a smile. Kids these days, am I right? So basically the drugs are keeping me from turning into Spiderwoman. I have to take these big kid pills 3 times a day. By big kid pills I mean the ones you have to swallow whole. It took me a while to get that concept down.

Ok. So since this blog is basically my journal, I'm going to fill you all in on my life. All 11 of you.

Let's go back in time, shall we?

Rose and I had a waffle party.

I went home with the Mad Dog. We saw The Vow.
If you want to know how I feel about it, you can read the movie review I did here: http://aaronandaubrie.blogspot.com/2012/02/carlies-corner.html.

We ate a lot....and played Rock Band.

I ran into one of my favorite families at church in Highland.

Went on a double date with Mckinley and the cousins. We went out to eat, walked all around the barn and saw the animals, and had a full on nerf gun war.

Considered going to IHOP late at night...and took a giant roommate nap instead.

Went to the basketball game with Rosie, Brigham, and Sascha.

Another IHOP run. This time joined by Mister Kmetzsch.

We had a special visitor...Qui Gon Jinn ;) Or as I like to call him, CHuef LHUAFbe LHEFhhfjakhf....because I can never remember his name.

Participated in Free Pancake Day at IHOP.

Danced like NO ONE was watching...except people were watching...and one was a cop.

Took part in the Penrose Hall flooding of 2012...and offered jungle cruise rides in the laundry carts for  the cheap price of 5 dollars...no takers.

The roommies and I became OBSESSED with the Hunger Games. We all sit around and read all day. It's awesome. 1st book I've ever read without pictures. wink.

I may get murdered and have to edit this blog post and take this video off if they see this...but sometimes we like to pretend to have our own hunger games in Penrose 80....Rose won this round.

Yet another Hunger Games round...Rose killing Jeffrey.

Also, we helped Brigham and Alex make masterpieces of their bottles after retrieving the ever missed Breadwig.

And last but not least, one of my best friends in the whole wide world brought me a delicious loaf of homemade bread cause she is the best. Made my day.

Well. My leg is on fire. Better go take some drugs.
Also, one of my classes only lasted 18 minutes today. SUCCESS.

And one more thing.....
 2 DAYS!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
