My Weekend Was Better Than Your Weekend :)

You may not think the above title is true...but let me tell you....I had a dang good weekend!

Friday was my brother Ethan's birthday! 13! Holy Smokes! Can you believe it? My parents took he and a friend camping for the weekend. Despite the rain it sounds like they had a great trip. Ethan was right in his element.

Friday night I went to the football game vs. Utah State with my cousins Emily and Daniel. Our seats were horrible, but the game was awesome! We scored in the last 15 seconds to win the game! My friend Sandra Mazzarelli drove up to Provo for the weekend and came and sat with us halfway through the game. It was so fun to see her and catch up with her!

After the game I met up with Rachel, Amanda, Mckenna, and Shannon for a minute since Shannon was down for the weekend from Arizona. I love these girls and it was so fun to briefly catch up with them!

That same night Daniel and I drove up Provo Canyon to get to the Story's cabin for General Conference weekend. I was so excited to be up at the cabin with extended family members for the first time for their conferene weekend festivities. It was a blast! General Conference was amazing. I loved hearing the men and women speak. One of my teachers here at BYU even spoke! I probably screamed for a good minute when I saw him approach the podium. It's like knowing a celebrity!:) So many different things that the apostles and leaders of the church mentioned applied to me and I learned a lot. They also announced another temple being built in Provo!! BOOYAH!! I feel so lucky to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love being able to hear from modern day prophets who recieve revelation and know exactly what we need to hear. If you missed Conference you should definitely check it out :)  http://lds.org/general-conference/watch?lang=eng

I love this picture of President Monson!

Another great part about my weekend?? Getting to spend it with the people I love! I have the best family members on the planet!

We always have such a great time together. Besides watching Conference the weekend consisted of football, food, crafts, food, nerf gun fights, food, movies, food, hot chocolate, food, games, food, food, and food. On Saturday night the boys decided to have a contest to see who could catch the most sour patch kids in their mouths while spinning....bad idea to do on a slippery wood floor. Good thing I got in on tape :)

Funny story...after the Sunday afternoon session of Conference Aaron, my cousin, came upstairs and told us how he had fallen asleep during the last few talks. My sister then proceeded to tell Aaron that they announced when the second coming was going to happen to which Aaron replied "What?! Really?? When is it?!" Hahaha Speaking of Aaron, he took me on a gator ride around the mountain on Sunday night. It was beautiful! I forgot that in other places of the world there are actually seasons! Arizona is basically the same all year round...but Utah's leaves change colors! Haha It was beautiful :)

Later that night Aubrie, Aaron, and Bryce (one of the workers at Steve's farm), and I all played games. After playing Apples to Apples we decided that whatever green cards we collected were the cards that describe our personalities. Here were my green cards. Accurate? I think not.

We also played the game where you stick an oreo on your forehead and try to get it into your mouth withoug using your hands. Funny :)

Later that night Jeff, Daniel, Dallin, and I stayed up watching Sky High. Strange movie. Hahaha I love my cousins!

EXCITING NEWS FLASH!!!! Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 is coming to the dollar theaters this week!! BOOYAH! You know where I'll be everynight :) haha EVEN MORE EXCITING NEWS!!! DISNEY IS COMING TO AUDITION PEOPLE IN OREM ON OCTOBER 14TH TO BE PERFORMERS!! I'm totally going :) Wooo! Over and out.

Mary Poppins, Pary City, and Jimmer....OH MY!

Holy smokes! WHAT A WEEK!!....or two weeks I guess. Get ready for a picture-filled blog post! Here are the highlights....and there are lots :)

On Wednesday one of my friends from back home in AZ, Mitchell Kroll, took me to see Mary Poppins in Salt Lake! I can't even tell you how excited I was. Mary Poppins is basically my idol. I want to be her when I grow up :) and Bert?? I'm going to marry him...just watch. Anyways, we doubled with one of Mitchell's good friends and his date. It was such a fun time and the show was INCREDIBLE! I loved it!! I can't get over it. Soooooo good. What a fun night :)

On Friday, my grandma came to Provo to pick me up to take me over to Park City to spend the night with all the Hansen girls! I didn't take any pictures from the weekend, sadly :( We had a lot of fun though. We went and ate out at a yummy Mexican restaurant, then went back to a house that we rented out to play games, eat junk, and just have girl time. The next morning we went out for breakfast and then hit the outlets for some shopping! It was fun to just have some girl time :) Thanks Grandma!!

Saturday night was the BYU vs. Utah football game.......we got creamed. haha Not a good game for BYU, but we still had fun!

On Sunday, Aubs and Aaron had me over for dinner! It was fun to go over and see what they've done with their apartment and catch up :) Thanks guys!

On Monday the FHE gang came over and we split up into groups to build Book of Mormon story sculptures out of Rice Krispies! We got creative and had a lot of fun building and eating our creations :)

It has been so much fun having my cousins up here to hang out with :) Here's Jeff, Daniel, and I inbetween classes. Love these guys!

My mom sent me another package this week! I'm so lucky! It had all sorts of Halloween decorations in it and lots of other fun things. Thank you mom! We're going to have fun decorating the apartment and eating the goodies :)

Thursday night was the Jimmer All-Stars Game! I didn't plan on going but my roommates are extremely convincing. haha before the game Madi, her friend Dallin, and I went out for some frozen yogurt. Yummmm. Then off to see THE Jimmer. The people there were CRAZY! Jimmer Jimmer Jimmer Jimmer Jimmer Jimmer Jimmer JJJIIIIMMMMEERRRRR!!!! If the whole Bert from Mary Poppins thing doesn't work out then I guess I could just marry Jimmer...he is engaged though, dang it! The game was so fun to watch except for the half-time show...worst. thing. I. have. ever. seen. Seriously. Jimmer's brother think that he can rap. Enough said.

Friday night was another Football game vs. UCF. Thankfully the Cougars pulled through this time. Our seats were directly in front of the BYU marching band so although we may have permanently lost our hearing we had a lot of fun. Maybe a little too much fun :)

This morning there was a lunch for all the BYU students from Arizona! And it was FFFRRREEEEEEEEE!! They probably had enough food there to feed everyone in America. haha almost everyone left with a 2 ft. long sub sandwich to take home. They gave out prizes and everything! It was awesome! Did I mention it was free?? That's right be jealous that you're not from Arizona ;)

Phew! That's a rap!

Freshman...Round 2!

Since I have successfully gone three whole months without blogging I decided now would be a good time to do so... because I have absolutely nothing better I could be doing with my time...(sarcasm). Well to fill you in I am currently a freshman at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Rise and Shout, baby!! I LOVE it! My roommates are the best! We have so much fun together and get along great!

If you know anything about BYU girls...you will understand the M and M's :)

I love my ward too! All 180 or so of them. We have an awesome Bishopbric. Get this...my Bishop's wife played Lucy Mack Smith in the Joseph Smith Movie, Mary Magdalene in the Testaments, and the mom in the Disney Channel movie, Pixel Perfect! We made a whole bunch of pancakes and threw them at each other for FHE this week. Don't judge. We have to get creative :)

The whole gang :)

My classes so far have been wonderful. Biology, American Heritage, History of Dance, Jazz Dance, Living Prophets, Book of Mormon, and a personal Voice Lesson class! I think the voice lessons will definitely be my favorite. I will have the opportunity to recieve training on lots of different songs of my choice. Thankfully my sweet mother sent me a package with tons of music! Now I can have fun messing around on the piano we have in the basement! Yay! It literally felt like Christmas to get this package today! THANKS MOM!

Some of my favorites! :)
