F is for Friends

I have friends. Really great ones. Really Really Really REALLY great ones. Ode to Friends. La la la la la la la la la la la la la la la.

I have had a pretty good past couple of weeks. Probably because school is just getting back in session so the homework is super easy. HA! Easy and school should never go in the same sentence. Actually I have a lot to do. Am I going to do it? You can answer that yourself. So....

My Christmas break was wonderful. As a Christmas gift my family is going to Disneyworld this summer. I have two words to say about that. Boo-Yah. Also...Harry Potter World. GAH!

I don't have the pictures from break. The Mama does. So you don't get to see them.

I was surprised at how much I missed my roommates over the break! It was so long that we skyped and had google plus "hangouts" on multiple occasions.

I got back to the P-town on Monday, the 2nd. I was welcomed by Rose and Megan who I had missed dearly.

The next day I worked....for HOURS. But Rose, April, and Madi came to visit. Reunited and it feels so good! That night Sir Jeffrey Griffiths came to our humble abode because he owed us stuff...if you know what I mean.

Wednesday classes started. Boo. No Yah. Just the Boo. They're fine. Eh. Let's not talk about school. That night we had a little "Meet And Greet" thing for the new kids in the ward. It was fun to see everyone again. It had been tooooo long. Then we had some fun with THE COCOA. Our new roommate.

I don't remember what I did on Thursday. Probably something really cool since my life is super exciting. Not.

Friday! Oh where to start. Madi was on a hot date and April, Nadine, and Megan all made plans so that left Rose and I at home....We...uh...made a 22 minute video on what to do in relationships. Since we have SO much experience ;) wink. It was really funny but I was dumb and accidentally clicked the delete button. Now it's gone. Forever. Then we decided to go to the Wilk to people watch. We probably did that for a good hour or so. We just watched people interact and gave our own commentary. We even filmed parts of it but then people started to notice. THEN we went to the dance at the Wilk and met up with some friends from the ward there and the Mad dog joined us. THENN we went back to the apartment and spent more time with friends and then Madi, Nadine, Cameron and I played in the snow that FINALLY came. phew. long night.

Saturday we had a girls night :) Complete with How to Lose a Guy in 10 days, ice cream, and cake (which I couldn't even eat because I'm doing no sugar for 6 months. Goin on 16 days, people! Woohoo!) My roommates are the best.

Sunday! Church now starts at 1. Sunday mornings are going to be the best :) We had ward prayer that night as usual and then "Break the Dessert." We went outside after that and saw tons of floating lanterns outside just like they do in Tangled. It was magical. Our friend even caught one for us and we hung it up in our apartment.

Monday. School. Then an FHE birthday party for April, Nadine, and Sascha.

Tuesday. We went out to dinner for April and Nadine's birthday. Yummm.

Sheesh. This is like a marathon blog post. Stretch or do what you need to do.

Wednesday. April and Nadine's actual birthday! Some friends came over that night for a partyyyyy.

Thursday. I started my Flexibility class on Thursday. It's probably the best thing that happened to BYU. We stretched for like 25 minutes and napped for the rest of the time. Half-credit success. Then the mad dog and I hit the gym and had a nice little surprise visit from C-Beech himself. I finally overcame my fear and got on Madi's shoulders.

Friday! Friday night I went on a date with Tyler Crofts from my ward. It was so fun and I'm pretty sure I laughed more on that date than any other date I've been on. Seriously. I had a blast. We went to the Bean Museum here at the Y. I never knew I could spend so much time in a museum filled with taxidermied animals. Haha I had been there once before and was terrified but that place can actually be a lot of fun when you're trying to be sneaky about touching the animals, giving commentary for the animals, and calling mister Bean himself. Afterwards we played some games, including Farkle (I pretty much dominated), ate some Lucky Charms (to try and avoid bad luck because it was Friday the 13th), and watched a movie. So fun!

Saturdayy. I spent the day doing pretty much nothing. Just playing with April. Haha that night Dallin came over and he, Madi, Megan, and I spent some time jamming on the piano. Yes it's on Youtube. As you can tell I was dying laughing the whole time. Especially when he made up a song about Hedwig from Harry Potter. Too good.

Sunday! Aubrie, Aaron, and I drove up to Mountain Green to see my cousin Natalie who had just got home from her mission to Tuscon, Arizona. It was so good to see her and the rest of the extended Hansen Fam. She did such a great job on her homecoming talk. It's obvious by everything she said and the spirit she has with her that she was an incredible missionary. It will be fun having her home and so close now that I live in Utah. And I got to see my little cousins!

Today, Bryant and Tyler came over to watch Newsies. Classic. We did everything necessary while watching that movie. Replayed the dancing scenes, quoted when possible, and played the kissing scene in slow-motion. Haha Then we took turns watching each other's "moment's of fame" on Youtube. Then for FHE we wrote down possible ideas for FHE activities on note cards and ate carrots. Short and sweet. Just the way I like it. We have some big plans for these upcoming FHE activities. Just you wait! And now I'm blogging even though I should be writing a paper. You're welcome ;)

I ALMOST FORGOT! Today, my cousin Emily Johnson made my day. I got a phone call from her asking if I wanted to be one of her bridesmaids!!! :) :) I'm so happy for her and I can't wait for her wedding!!
I just realized that a few posts ago I promised to give tips to people on how to create stress in their lives and in the lives of others. I have been slacking so this time I'll give two tips:

1. If someone is telling you a joke and you know the punch line, wait until they've nearly finished, then tell them you've heard it before.
2. Record the sound of a dentist's drill. Play it at bedtime.

THAT'S A RAP!
