Hollywood Studios!

Another day, another post. 

Hollywood Studios was a good break day since there are lots of shows to see. 

We started off the day by running to Toy Story's Midway Mania. I love that ride!

Then we went over to the Rockin' Roller Coaster!

And yes, it was rockin. 

We got fast passes to go again that Ethan ended up using by himself 3 times and then gave the rest to another family :)

Then Aaron and I headed over to the American Idol Experience to audition. We both made it through the first round! Then they give you an ipod to listen to with a list of possible songs to sing for the second judge. 

Sadly the second judge didn't put me through to the show...but he did give me 6 free fast passes to any ride! Wassup. 

Aaron made it through past the second judge though which meant he got on the show! They pick 15 people throughout the day. So each show has 3 different contestants and then the winners from each show compete in the finale at the end of the day. They gave Aaron the star treatment! They followed him around with a camera, asked him questions and everything, just like the show! 

Throughout the day we went and saw the Indiana Jones show, went on Star Tours, etc.

We had just started the Hollywood Studios Backlot Tour when it started to downpour. Literally. They closed down the ride, and the ponchos came back out to play!

One of my favorites part of the day had to be Beauty and the Beast! It was the whole show in 30 minutes so the story was very condensed but I loved every minute. 

TOWER OF TERROR.

I'm in love with this ride. Ahhh. I could ride it all day. 

So Aaron had to go back to American Idol earlier for hair, makeup, and a few minutes with a private vocal coach! We got special seats and got to see the dress rehearsal for the show. 

Long story short, Aaron ROCKED it. He sang "Sway" by Michael Buble and brought the house down. People were eating him up! 

The judges gave him great reviews! The audience got to vote...anndddd....

HE WON!!

Some fans even wanted autographs!

Later that night he got to go back for the finale! 

It was a big deal! There was a full house and they projected the show on a screen outside so others in the park could watch! 

The judges got all dressed up and everything.

The 5 performers were SO GOOD. 

Aaron went first and did awesome!! 

There was one 17 year old girl that performed that was incredible! She is going places.

The last guy who sang was unbelievable. He had half the audience standing when he finished.

Sadly Aaron didn't win but he did great. The last guy who performed won and the girl took second. The winner gets a ticket to go straight to the judges during an actual American Idol audition. The 17 year old girl was really upset that she didn't win and came out crying. She had come to the park by herself just to audition  and was really disappointed. Theennnn the guy who won came out and gave her the ticket!! He was too old to audition for the show and was allowed to give the ticket to one other person! It was so great. She started crying when he gave it to her :) The world needs more people like that guy. Also, watch for this girl. You'll see her someday. 

We went back to Midway Mania to use up the fast passes :) And then we saw the Little Mermaid show! 

While leaving the park there was this 15 year old kid performing on stage. Apparently he was a finalist in some radio disney competition or something. He wasn't half bad and we had a lot of fun dancing to the music.
